Travel Tip Update (Another One): Mobile Passport App

Hey guys!  Here’s an update to my previous one. It works!!! 🙂

So, I forgot to use the app upon reentry to the U.S. from Cabo, but upon arriving to Customs at Dallas-Fort Worth airport and almost fainting at the sight of that ridiculous line (we had a connecting flight we needed to catch), I looked up and saw the sign for Mobile Passport. Yes, I’m one who actually reads airport signs people!

Upon seeing that there was not one single soul in the Mobile Passport lane, I sat on the first bench I saw, logged into the app, started a new trip, answered their questions and took a selfie (as they require) and BOOM….I was out of there in a flash! Literally the moment I took the selfie I received my confirmation and I was out of there.

When I made it to the other side, I zig-zagged my line of sight through that long line of travelers in the standard lane until I found my friend looking pitiful as she stood at the back moving at snail’s pace. I pointed and laughed so hard! I know, I know….I’m such a horrible friend. But hey, she said she didn’t want to try the app since she wasn’t familiar with it, but maybe she’ll try it the next time after seeing me breeze right on through. 😂

The only thing that needs to happen now is to launch this thing in all airports; then folks wouldn’t need to pay for Global Entry because this is a great alternative.

If you haven’t tried it, please do. It definitely aids in helping impatient folks like myself deal with the headache of traveling when you have layovers, and you’re fatigued and hangry. Just follow this sign.

Happy travels folks!
